Fly-in Fishing - Species AvailableWalleye, Northern Pike, Lake trout, Speckled Trout and Small Mouth Bass - Flyin Fishing Trip - CanadaFly-in fishing costs are not necessarily determined by the quality of the fishing, but by the costs of getting there. The costs of a flyin fishing trip are determined by four things. 1. The time and distance to drive to the operator's float plane base. 2. The distance the aircraft must fly to get you to your remote flyin fishing camp. 3. The type of aircraft and number of available seats filled by paying fishermen on your flight. 4. The weight and the amount of your gear and last minute extra baggage charges. To plan your northern Ontario fishing trip, first find out about the fishing, then estimate the total cost per person of your fly-in fishing vacation after accessing driving costs and fly-in camp costs. Our northern Ontario fly-in fishing camps are only 30 to 40 minutes flying time north of Sudbury - that's very close to our base! Our modern camps are newly built and or recently renovated to insure your satisfaction. Our fishing is as good as you can find in Northern Ontario. The fly-in concept: Its hard to find good fishing and its harder to find sustainable fisheries. We have been practicing conservation on our fly-in lakes for over 20 years. The simple fact is that we take less fish from our lakes than nature returns to them each year. The fishing today is better than it was when we started thirty years ago. The term 'fly-in' means you can't drive to our lakes it or get to them by any other practical method. Our fly-in camp permits issued by the provincial government grant us exclusivity for a cabin on our lakes. For over twenty years we have protected our fly-in lakes by practicing good fishing practices and conservation. The big ones are released to spawn again and the pressure from the insignificant number of fishing hours on our lakes from our small camps has no effect on the spawning rates or the fish population. As a result, the fishing populations in our lakes have stabilized at their maximum historical and natural levels. We believe fishing on our fly-in lakes is as good today as it was hundreds of years ago. Once you've reached your remote destination, it's time to start your quest for "the big one"... Walleye, Northern Pike, Lake trout, Speckled Trout and Small Mouth Bass..... easier to find on a fly-in lake. Choose your fly in destination based on your fishing preference. Fly-in fishing has four components to measure carefully. Quality Of The Fishing, Distance To Drive, Distance to Fly and Quality Of The Camps. Distance To Drive: Driving to Sudbury Aviation is less than you might expect as we are located four and one half to five hours north of Toronto and only three hours east of Sault Ste. Marie. Distance to Fly: Our camps are located only thirty to forty minutes from our float plane base. Transportation is provided by our Beaver aircraft.
